how to solve the problem of Windows 10 logging into a temporary profile
this problem can be caused by anything that can result in
profile corruptionor a force shutdown or sometimes even just Windows updates that didn't install
1- on your keyboard hold down the windows key and then hit R
this brings up the run prompt type in regedit and then hit enter
2-we need to go to H key local machine software
3-Software
4- Microsoft
Wndows NT
CurrentVersion
then ProfileList
each of keys represents a windows profile in my caseI only have two profiles my computer and
if you look in the right side and the profile image path you can see it
lists the directory from one of the profiles and the other ones listed
as well the problem is whenever one of the profiles becomes corrupted Windows
adds bak to the end of this registry keyand then every time you sign in it puts
you in a temporary profile so you cansee that the profile image path has
changed to a temporary directory
5-delete the temporary key
6- and then right-click the registry key with bak at
the end and say rename delete the bak
part and hit enter
7- now that this is theonly profile left and the profile image
path references your actual directory Windows will load this profile when you reboot so go ahead and close the registry editor
and then restart the computer
